The sound of strange creatures, steam pipes and machinery mixed in the Undercity of Taris to create a kind of derelict symphony, welcoming all who heard it into the concrete jungle which had been the death of so many. Distant spots of flame designated the few spots where the exiles of Taris made their homes, their small villages across the Undercity which kept them safe, at least for a time, from the monsters which ravaged the far-below surface of Taris. In the base of one of Taris' monumental tower supports, a camp had been set up, a fire burned to warm the cold metal around it, and a small stream of still-fresh water poured from the surface. For the past few days, the Rebels had made their bed there, allowing for things to calm in the upper levels of the city before their return. Survival had been a test, but it was time for another. It was time for the Rebels to plan their return to the Lower city, and to make it happen.

A quick-paced life was nothing normal - for Wardell. Thrown into what some would say the 'fate' of his life was something he'd learn to accept. The shuttle down to the Tarisian Undercity was packed and at the same time isolated. Weaving through the structural supports that held together the relatively comfortable lives above almost proved a problem. If it wasn't a trailing Imperial fighter it would be an unsuspecting pillar waiting to interrupt the journey of the two men. Wardell was still heightened in every manner - killing others was becoming a frequent action in his playbook. Escaping what was his known life to the depths of a planet that everyone seemed to forget. Quickly dropped off, Wardell had only Ben to follow, this was Ben's journey after all - at least that's what Wardell thought. It didn't take much time to find a place to rest, others had either found their way or were forced to take refuge down here; just like the two rebels. Sense of time drifted away, like the other plentiful amenities that gifted those above. Wardell simply accepted his position, he wasn't going to run away from his decisions. Their camp was well-off from what they could tell, no one cared who they were, why would they?
Wardell would be coming back from scouting around, although he had told Ben he just wanted some fresh air; for the record the Undercity wasn't known for it's attractive fragrances.
"Yo' B. How long are we gonna' be stuck down here? I mean, you couldn't get any closer to rock bottom from this place." Wardell would speak, only being honest; a few days is long for many to be hiding in the Undercity, who knows if too long will mean an eternity being stuck down here.
His ragged clothing turning a darker shade likely from the dampness in the environment.
